Fun is the primary motivator behind all that we do. It leads us in our work and encourages us to keep learning.

Learning is as vital as eating and sleeping. It keeps our minds fresh and strong and helps us constantly innovate.

Innovation is what happens when we get to work. We’re always creating something new, and innovating a new solution in the process. This takes courage.

Courage is as big a motivator as fun. Constant innovation can be scary. But a little courage goes a long way. We’re able to trust this by staying on course and being honest.

Honesty is how we keep from deluding ourselves. If we’re in over our heads or unsure of the solution to a problem, we can only find the answer if we can admit it, and communicate.

Communication is how we go further. Two heads are better than one, but only if they’re sharing. And that kind of openness and vulnerability requires trust.

Trust enables us to move forward every day, knowing that we have each other’s backs. Many of the above values would be moot without it. What’s more, trusting each other gives us each agency.

Agency is the natural human state, and it enables people to accomplish great things. And we know that while the job of the community is to produce individuals, the job of the individual is to support the community.

Our community is the bedrock of our existence. We’d be nothing without it, and so we are compelled and excited to give back. This is fundamental to our culture. Yet in order to be solid members of the community, we also have to take care of ourselves.

Self-care is maintenance. We wouldn’t drive our cars to a hundred thousand miles without taking it in, so why would we drive ourselves like that? The safety message on the airplane says to fasten your own oxygen mask before helping others. So first, breathe. Then ask, how can we help?

1 Planning:
Our initial planning phase starts at client discovery. As we gather requirements for the first sprint of the project, we create mockups and user stories to ensure that the requirements are correct and that a complete increment is in view. When these planning documents and a backlog of tasks (up to 1 month's worth) are completed and approved, we start the sprint.

2 Building:
During the sprint, we have daily standup meetings to discuss progress, next steps, and roadblocks. We use a burn down chart to track progress as we work through the sprint backlog. The sprint is done when all agreed upon features from the initial planning phase are completed and discussed in a client review meeting.

3 Delivery:
At the review meeting, we do a product tour to go over all features and receive client feedback. Changes and additions will be tracked and included in planning documents for subsequent sprints. Once the scope of the next sprint takes shape, we finalize the planning process and move into a new sprint.
